Michael N. Beukas joined the firm Of Counsel. Michael was born in New York in 1968. He was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1995 and before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey in 1995. Michael was also admitted before the United States Tax Court in 1996 and the United States Supreme Court in 1998.
Michael has been a trial attorney for over twenty years and focuses his practice in complex Commercial and Civil Litigation matters in state and appellate courts from inception to trial, including commercial and residential real estate disputes, construction litigation, corporate and shareholder disputes, commercial landlord/tenant disputes, book account causes of action, consumer fraud litigation, estate litigation, personal injury litigation and general Chancery Division matters. Michael’s transactional practice concentration includes general contract negotiation and formation as well as mediating and arbitrating related disputes. Michael also serves as regulatory and compliance counsel to numerous small businesses and corporations and routinely represents clientele before state and federal regulatory agencies.
Michael has litigated many publicized matters in the State of New Jersey, including obtaining one of the few Appellate Division opinions in the area of consumer fraud against Sleepy’s, Inc. Michael was successful in a highly publicized appeal filed before the Bergen County Construction Board of Appeals by the “Kitchen Cousins” featured on HGTV, leading to the imposition of a significant monetary judgment in favor of his clients. He also assisted the Federal Bureau of Investigation in furtherance of the prosecution of a Glen Rock financial advisor who engaged in a Ponzi scheme designed to defraud investors. Michael has tried many cases to their conclusion and obtained published multi-million dollar settlements on behalf of his clients. He was also selected by his peers to serve as a contract and commercial Arbitrator for the Superior Court of the State of New Jersey. Michael has also undergone training through the Administrative Office of the Courts of the State of New Jersey and has been approved as a Rule 1:40 Mediator for Civil, General Equity and Probate Cases.
Michael is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Bergen County Bar Association. He resides in Bergen County with his wife and two children. Michael is actively engaged in community affairs and local politics. He has also had the privilege of coaching a championship baseball team for many years, as well as, softball and basketball. Michael teaches his players the value of teamwork, discipline, patience and professionalism, both on and off the field.
